Gestational surrogacy is a meaningful commitment, and surrogates are supported with comprehensive compensation and benefits throughout the process. At Premiere Family Coordination, we ensure that all agreed-upon expenses, support needs, and compensation are clearly outlined and thoughtfully managed.
Below is an overview of typical surrogate compensation and additional benefits.
All amounts may vary based on experience, location, and individual agreement terms.
Base Compensation
Surrogate Base Compensation:
$60,000 – $100,000+
Compensation varies based on:

First-time vs. experienced surrogate

Location and cost of living

Prior surrogacy experience
Payments are typically distributed in monthly installments beginning after confirmation of pregnancy and continuing through delivery.
Milestone Payments
These payments are provided at key stages of the journey:

Screening Completion Fee: $1,000 – $1,500

Contract Signing Fee: $2,500

Medication Start Fee: $1,500

Embryo Transfer Fee: $1,500 per transfer
Monthly & Ongoing Support

Monthly Allowance: $200/month
(Begins at contract signing and continues through postpartum recovery)
This allowance can be used for:

Childcare

Housekeeping

Daily support needs
If bedrest is required, additional support funds are provided, including:

Childcare assistance (up to ~$100/day)

Housekeeping support (approx. $100/week)
Pregnancy-Related Benefits

Maternity Clothing Allowance: $800

Prenatal Wellness Support: ~$300 (e.g., massage, if approved by provider)

Lost Wages: Based on individual employment and time off required

Companion Lost Wages: Covered when travel is required
Additional Compensation (If Applicable)

Cesarean Section: $4,000

Multiple Pregnancy (Twins): $10,000+

Invasive Procedures: $500 each

Breast Milk Pumping (Optional): $250/week
(Plus supplies and shipping costs if agreed upon)
Insurance & Medical Coverage
All medical expenses related to the surrogacy are fully covered.

If your current insurance includes surrogacy coverage, premiums and out-of-pocket costs are paid

If not, a surrogacy-specific insurance policy is provided at no cost to you
Additional Support
Surrogates also receive:

Total Estimated Compensation
Most surrogates receive total compensation in the range of:
$75,000 – $130,000+
